Therefore, we present our privacy policy here on our website as a presentation, to aid you in understanding which data we collect, why we collect the data and how we utilize the data collected. We believe it is important to inform our visitors of this information, to ensure the safety of your personal data so you feel safe in our digital environment, while also ensuring you that H. Dam Kærgaard lives up to and comply to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, May 25, 2018).

General Data Protection Regulation

The GDPR specifically concerns the control of security regarding the personal information which is shared with the company. GDPR is a regulation determined by the EU with the purpose of reinforcing the data protection rules and rights, for the benefit of EU-citizens. GDPR is thus a tool to return the control of personal information back to the consumer.

The rules apply to all organizations within the EU (which deliver wares in the EU or via websites), who utilizes tracking technologies (such as cookies) to monitor the users behavior.

Data collection (regardless how insignificant it may be) will require a valid consent. This consent will specifically apply to the data collection, which is collected through a unique and affirmative action.

Personal Information – Collection basis

The H. Dam Kærgaard website offers functions, services and tools which are available through the use of tracking technologies. As a user you are entitled to reject, delete, block, or deactivate these technologies, if your system allows it. However, this may lead to limited access on the website, as the application of specific website functions, services or tools demand these technologies.

The technology on our website assists in saving and storing relevant information, to better identify your profile in relation to our servers or internal systems. We do this to improve the experience of our website, by continuously analyzing the data collected. collects and utilizes the personal information for:

We use these services to better analyze, inform and improve the experience of the users, when you visit our website. We believe it is important to understand the users’ journey through our digital media, to better communicate our messages to the user, and thereby achieving possibilities which may result in a shared experience of success.

Google Analytics and website visits

Even though the aforementioned services registers and traces data, such as geographic location, unit, internet browser, operative system and consumer behaviour, none of this information can identify you personally to Google or to us. Thus, your IP-address is also anonymously registered through Google Analytics. This information is necessary to view the “digital tracks” users leave behind, when browsing through different sites online.

Contact, registration and download forms

Should you choose to utilize our internal contact form on the website, then the entered information is saved and sent in an e-mail via SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol). The information will be stored in DynamicWeb (our website database) and is also automatically transferred to the connected DynamicWeb 365 CRM-system. The data will then be linked to an existing account with a similar e-mail, or a new account will be created. The data are saved until you specifically request to have them deleted. If the data deals with future or existing orders, or they are covered by legislation, the data will be saved as a minimum for 5 years.

The purpose is to better process your inquiry, without information being transferred to third countries outside of EU/EEA. The information is stored until you request the data deleted from our system.

Our processing of your personal data is conducted based on the lawfulness of processing regulation in the EU GDPR, art. 6, para. 1, litra f. 

E-mail newsletter

When signing up for our newsletter, we collect the following information:

  • name
  • telephone number
  • mail address  
  • company/position

The purpose for collecting this information is to deliver newsletters. Your information is stored as long as you wish to receive our newsletters.

The information is not transferred to third countries outside of EU/EEA.

If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter via e-mail, then the e-mail address, which you subscribed with, will be sent to SendGrid, who ensures that mails will not be categorized as spam. We perceive SendGrid as a third-party data processor. Besides being sent to SendGrid, your e-mail will also be stored in our mail-receiving database in DynamicWeb.

Your email address stays in our own – and in SendGrids database, as long as we continue using SendGrids services for e-mail marketing or until you specifically request to be removed from the mailing list. You are able to unsubscribe through the unsubscribing link in our newsletters, which are sent to your e-mail. If you should request to be unsubscribed via e-mail, please send your request from the e-mail account you used when you registered.

Right to access and remove data

You have rights as a user to gain an insight of which personal information we have collected and linked to you, for the purpose of rectifying and updating your personal information or having the registered information deleted.

Furthermore, in certain cases you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal information. If you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal information, we may in future cases only process the information – apart from storage – with your consent, or for the purpose of a legal claim may be established, asserted, or defended, or to protect a person or important public interests. In certain cases, you are entitled to object against our or the legal processing of your personal information and you are in certain cases entitled to receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, while having the right to have this personal information transferred from one data responsible to another without any hindrance.

You are at any time entitled to withdraw your consent. This can be done online through our website.

Please contact us if you wish to access your personal information, which is stored in our database, or if you wish to have your personal data deleted from our database. This can be done via our contact form or per e-mail.

Changes to the privacy policy

H. Dam Kærgaard A/S reserves the right to change or update the Privacy Policy. We will inform our users of any significant changes before the changes are forced through, via our website or by other means to give the users the opportunity to review the changes. The continued use of our website and our services following the published changes, will be regarded as an acceptance of the newly updated policy.


H. Dam Kærgaard protects the data collected via our technology to ensure that only H. Dam Kærgaard and our affiliated authorized service provider have access to the collected data. Internal rules regarding information security have been solidified, which protects information from unauthorized publishing and from unauthorized access and knowledge of the stored data. We are improving our data security in correspondence to digital developments.

As the internet is not 100% safe, safety breaches may occur, which may result in a risk of our users’ data on our website. Should such a scenario occur we will inform our users of the safety breach as soon as possible. Therefore, it is crucial that users do not share sensitive personal information online.
